The Probus Club of Cornubia is a group dedicated to “fun, fellowship and friendship”, according to its members.
The club has over 70 members, and more are welcome.
“Any person who is retired or semi-retired, would be most welcome to come along and experience the friendship and fellowship we offer,” the club’s communications officer Carole Ekert said.
“There’s always something happening.”
On the first Wednesday of the month, which is tomorrow (Wednesday 5 July) the group goes to a restaurant for lunch or dinner, and on the third Wednesday (19 July), they go for an outing, like a trip to Mackay scheduled for August.
The club holds their general meeting at Beenleigh Bowls Club on the second Wednesday of each month, which is next Wednesday 12 July.
“The club is run by an energetic committee who ensure our activities run smoothly and we aim to have something for everyone to enjoy,” Ms Ekert said.
