Birds of many feathers set record pace

THE Australian Budgerigar Society will on Sunday October 16 host its 65th anniversary Carnival Show at the Beenleigh Showgrounds’ new show hall .
The bird show features budgerigars, parrots, finches, canaries, poultry and African lovebirds. Entry is free and there will be more than 30 displays on the day, and free tea and coffee for visitors.
Doors open 9am. there will be a raffle, breakfast and lunch available, along with cold drinks and chocolates.
The motto of the club is that it’s “there for everyone”.
Organiser Wayne Robinson said it was the first show of its kind to be attempted in the City of Logan area and it’s the show’s 7th year.
“The support from all bird clubs has been overwhelming,” he said. “Many of the clubs will have a display or sale birds.”
