LOGAN East Community Centre is hosting an opportunity for people to improve their digital skills and to get connected online.
On October 21, there will be a morning tea starting at 10.15am, followed by a workshop which goes through the ways to be part of YouTube.
Organisers of the event are doing that through the novel game of “YouTube Bingo” which comes complete with prizes.
“Prizes include a Bunnings gift card,” they said.
“YouTube is a great way to explore your interests and connect with others online. Please come and join us.”
The centre is at 53 Cinderella Drive, Springwood, and people are asked to bring their own digital device (laptop, tablet or smart phone).
If people don’t have one, they are asked to contact the centre for assistance.
RSVPs can be sent to familysupport@lecna.org.au or leaving a message for Jen or Anu at reception.
The event is part of “Get Online” week from October 17-23.
LECNA has a range of services for people in need, including no interest loans for vehicles, a no interest loan scheme for people in immediate need, mediation services, emergency relief, counselling, tax help, advocacy, and a JP service. There’s also volunteer programs and apace for meetings and gatherings.
