Police release ‘robbery with violence’ vision (video included)

Have you seen this man?

Police have released vision from this alleged shop robbery with violence at Eagleby in early September.

Around 7.45pm on Wednesday September 9, a man entered a Fryar Road business and jumped over the front counter, making demands for cash and cigarettes.

When the 61-year-old staff member did not immediately comply, the man struck him about the head multiple times, knocking him to the ground.

The victim has since recovered from facial injuries.

The man fled the scene on foot with a box of vapes.

He is described as having an olive complexion, is approximately 170cm tall with a proportionate build and is aged in his twenties or thirties. He was wearing a black hoodie including a face covering, grey tracksuit pants and black shoes. He was carrying a black backpack with white logo.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone who may be able to help identify the man to contact police. Anonymous reports can be made.
