A Hillcrest man, 32, was charged with eight driving offences, including allegedly drink driving, driving without a licence and failing to register a car, police said.
Police allege they tested the man, driving a black Mazda 3, during a roadside breath test (RBT) at around 6.50pm on 13 February on Waterford Tamborine Road in Logan Village.
Police allege the man tested positive during the RBT and was taken to Logan Village Police Station for secondary testing, where he recorded a breath alcohol level of 0.176%.
The legal breath alcohol level limit when driving is 0.05% and below.
Police allege further checks revealed the man did not have a current driver’s licence and that the Mazda 3 was not registered.
Police also allege number plates on the Mazda 3 were not displayed correctly and that the man had been driving without using the car’s headlights.
He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 17 March 2026.
